Towards a European Larch Wood Chain (FAIR FP4)

Description: Larch produces one of the most valuable wood among conifers. Moreover it combines many biological properties which make it a good candidate in European lowland forestry. The main objective of this project is to develop a research larch wood chain integrating technological, silvicultural and breeding aspects. Competence and expertise in these fields exist but are actually scattered in several institutes and industrial companies across Europe. This is a major difficulty but also a challenge.
