Abstract: The dispersion model 'Airvivo', developed by the Swedish company Indic, has been applicated to two strongly air polluted alpine valleys, the Rhine valley in the region of Chur and the Mesolcina north of Bellinzona (Canton Grissons). Abatement strategies were formulated in variations in emission inventories, and the results in the air pollution field are discussed.
