Description: Das Projekt "Multilateral environmental cooperation on crisis prevention and post-crisis care (AFES-PRESS sub-project)" wird vom Umweltbundesamt gefördert und von Arbeitsgruppe Friedensforschung und Europäische Sicherheitspolitik Brauch durchgeführt. The FuE-Gesamtvorhaben together with a total duration of 15.5 months was accomplished by Adelphi Research and AFES-PRESS. Worked on within the framework of the project altogether 8 thematic components, to which written short contributions as well as lectures were developed, into different international and national political processes gained access. Of AFES-PRESS three subjects were worked on: 1. to the safety dimension within the framework of the EU/ESA-Initiative to globally the monitoring on Environment and Security (GMES); 2. to the safety dimension of the climatic protection; 3. the catastrophe precaution within the framework of UNISDR. The project covered the active participation and observation of conferences to questions of the environment and security policy under construction as well as the consolidation of contacts to national and international organisations in the area of the catastrophe precaution.
