Description: Das Projekt "Avoided Deforestation - Belago Amazon Rainforest Project (Brazil)" wird vom Umweltbundesamt gefördert und von GFA Envest GmbH durchgeführt. GFA ENVEST has developed a baseline study for a private investor aiming to purchase a forest concession of 278,000ha in the Amazon basin, which is under serious thread of deforestation. The study features an assessment of the drivers for deforestation, the evaluation of remote sensing images as well as the examination of land titles. Based on above, a detailed baseline study has been developed and climate political consulting services were provided to the investor. Services provided: Modelling of several baseline scenarios; Identification of the most appropriate baseline scenario; Estimation of carbon sequestration potential from forestry according to baseline scenarios; Assessment of the project risks; Assessment of financial flows; Development of PIN (Project Idea Note) including financial assessment; Consultancy for investment and due diligence.
