Multivariate classification, biogeography and phylogeographical analysis of Pannonian steppe grasslands

Description: Steppe grasslands of the Pannonian region represent habitats for numerous rare and endangered animal and plant species. Therefore, this region covers high levels of biodiversity. In a vegetation history perspective, steppes have been dominant throughout most of the Quaternary in vast areas of Europe. However, constancy of steppe communities over time remains a matter of research.
