Impacts of fire on the carbon budget in boreal forest soils

Description: Das Projekt "Impacts of fire on the carbon budget in boreal forest soils" wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Universität Zürich, Geographisches Institut.Changes in fire frequency and intensity have the potential to affect climate through a number of different mechanisms. Here we use biogeochemical techniques to assess how fire affects the carbon stocks and isotopic composition soil organic matter in boreal forest soils. This site is part of a broader chronosequence study of the effects of burn severity on carbon storage in Central Siberia.
