Description: Das Projekt "Umweltprobleme, Umweltplanung in Entwicklungslaendern, vor allem in Lateinamerika: Oekosystemforschung in Mangrovewaeldern Kolumbiens" wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Universität Heidelberg, Geographisches Institut Heidelberg.Ausgehend von den Determinanten der Umweltplanung (politische, gesellschaftliche und juristische Rahmenbedingungen) werden die wichtigsten Problembereiche bzw. Defizite der Umweltplanung (z.B. normative und administrative Maengel) definiert. Eine Fallstudie bezieht sich auf das Nutzungspotential der Mangrovewaelder Kolumbiens. Auswertung der Luft- und Satellitenbilder/Einsatz von Techniken der Datenverarbeitung mit Hilfe des Geographischen Informationssystems/Oekologische Feldforschung/Mangrovenressourcen und deren oekonomische Bedeutung/Untersuchung der oekologischen Verhaeltnisse der Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta/Ursachenanalyse der Mangrovendegradation/Formulierungen zu Konsequenzen fuer die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit/Beruecksichtigung der Ende 1993 in Kraft tretenden neuen Richtlinien fuer die Umweltplanung in Kolumbien.

  Description: Proceding from the determinants of environmental planning (political, social and juridical frame conditions), the most important problems and deficits in environmental planning are defined, such as deficiencies in standardization and administration. A casestudy relates to the possible use of mangrove forests in Columbia. Also the analysis of the aerial photos and satellite imagery has been carried through according to the programme. The application of techniques for data processing supported by Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is in the stage of implementation. This corresponds to the projected segments of the ecologic field research. Here, the planned interviews regarding the ressources, of the mangrove and their economic significance are carried through at the moment.
