Description: Das Projekt "FLOOD-ERA - Flood Risk Management Strategies in European Member States" wird vom Umweltbundesamt gefördert und von Leibniz-Institut für ökologische Raumentwicklung e.V. durchgeführt. The overall aim of FLOOD-ERA is to show how importand steps towards effective and efficient flood risk management strategies in European Member States can be made through improving the evaluation of non-structural and structural measures under conditions of different risk perceptions of decision makers. The working programme of FLOOD-ERA encompasses the devlopment of the assessment methodology and site-specific investigations of flood risk strategies in country studies. This structure allows a close relation between basic research on developing the methodology and empirical work done in the country studies within the PARTNER countries of the ERA-NET CRUE initiative. To stress this link, both research tasks consider similar items and are carried out in parallel. Results of FLOOD-ERA are disseminated in scientific paters as well as in providing a EU guideline which will be adjusted with the practitioners involved.
