Erfahrungen mit den Auswirkungen der Unterbodenverdichtung auf den Boden, das Pflanzenwachstum und die Umwelt und Moeglichkeiten zur Vorbeugung gegen Unterbodenverdichtung

Description: Mit diesem Projekt sollen theoretisches Wissen und experimentelle Erfahrungen von Experten aus 14 EU-Laendern, Norwegen, Polen und der Schweiz zum Thema 'Unterbodenverdichtung' zusammengetragen werden. Hierzu werden gesamteuropaeische Datenbanken zu den Themen bodenmechanische Eigenschaften, Einfluss der Unterbodenverdichtung auf bodenphysikalische Eigenschaften, Pflanzenproduktion und Umwelt sowie bestehende Literaten zum Thema Unterbodenverdichtung erstellt. Zweck dieser Bestandesaufnahme ist es, Wissensluecken festzustellen und daraus moegliche weitere Forschungsrichtungen abzuleiten. Leitfragen: Welche Bedeutung hat das Problem der 'Unterbodenverdichtung' in der heutigen europaeischen Landwirtschaft? Welches sind die kritischen Prozesse, die in der Landwirtschaft zu Unterbodenverdichtung fuehren bzw. fuehren koennen?

  Description: This project represents a contribution to the Concerted Action on Subsoil Compaction which is carried out in the 4th Research and Technological Development Programme FAIR5 of the European Community. In recent years, subsoil compaction caused by heavy machinery has been recognized as a major threat to the fertility of agricultural soils.
