Industrial Reporting under the Industrial Emissions Directive 2010/75/EU and European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 Ver 11.0 Dec. 2024 (Spatial data)

This metadata refers to the geospatial dataset representing the status of the EEA Industrial Reporting database as of 16 December 2024 (version 11). The release and emissions data cover the period 2007-2023 as result of the data reported under the E-PRTR facilities, 2017-2023 for IED installations and WI/co-WIs, and 2016-2023 for LCPs. These data are reported to EEA under Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) 2010/75/EU Commission Implementing Decision 2018/1135 and the European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 Commission Implementing Decision 2019/1741. The dataset brings together data formerly reported separately under E-PRTR Regulation Art.7 and under IED Art.72. Additional reporting requirements under the IED are also included.

NECPR: Progress to targets for greenhouse gas emissions and removals (Annex I) dataset, 2023

Progress to targets for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals is a dataset under the National Energy and Climate Progress Reports (NECPRs), which is reported every second year (starting in 2023) by EU Member States. The dataset provides information regarding Member State's GHG and removals targets and progress in achieving them. The EEA collects and quality checks this data. The dataset links to data from GHG inventories and projections (also collected by the EEA), as well as Annual Emission Allocations (AEAs). This reporting obligation comes from the Governance Regulation 2018/1999, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2299 (Annex I).

NECD policies and measures database ver. 3, Dec. 2024 (Tabular data)

This database contains policies and measures (PaMs) reported by EU Member States following European Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1522 of 11 October 2018 laying down a common format for national air pollution control programmes under Directive (EU) 2016/2284 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants. This database will be updated on a quarterly basis. It is important to note that the database only contains latest data that has been reported by Member States using the PAM-tool: https://webforms.eionet.europa.eu/. The completeness and accuracy of the data depends on the quality of reporting by each country. Release years: 2019 v1: Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Portugal,Slovenia, Spain, Sweden 2020 v1: Czechia, Hungary, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Slovakia 2021 v1: Greece, Ireland 2022 v1: Lithuania 2023 v1: Estonia, Romania, France, Ireland, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Poland 2024 v1: Austria, Spain, Sweden 2024 v2: Cyprus, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Slovenia 2024 v3: Austria, Cyrus, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Sweden

WISE WFD Reference Spatial Datasets reported under Water Framework Directive

The WISE WFD reference spatial datasets contain information on the European river basin districts, the river basin district sub-units, the surface water bodies and the groundwater bodies delineated for the River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) as well as the monitoring sites located in surface water bodies and groundwater bodies. The dataset includes EU Member States, Norway and Iceland.

European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) data from EUTL

Data about the EU emission trading system (ETS). The EU ETS data viewer provides aggregated data on emissions and allowances, by country, sector and year. The data mainly comes from the EU Transaction Log (EUTL). Additional information on auctioning and scope corrections is included.

National Emission reduction Commitments Directive (NECD) policies and measures database

This database contain policies and measures (PaMs) reported by EU Member States following European Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1522 of 11 October 2018 laying down a common format for national air pollution control programmes under Directive (EU) 2016/2284 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants.

Member States' greenhouse gas (GHG) emission projections 2024

The Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action ((EU) 2018/1999) requires Member States to report national projections of anthropogenic GHG emissions. Every two years, it is mandatory for EU Member States to report their GHG projections by gas (or group of gases) and by sector. On non-mandatory years, Member States are to report if there have been significant changes to their data. National projections shall take into consideration any policies and measures adopted at Union level. The reported data are quality checked by the EEA and its European Topic Centre for Climate Change Mitigation and Energy (ETC/CME). The 2024 dataset contains data up to year 2050.

Member States' greenhouse gas (GHG) emission projections

The Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action ((EU) 2018/1999) requires Member States to report national projections of anthropogenic GHG emissions. Every two years, each EU Member State shall report GHG projections in a ‘with existing measures’ scenario for the years 2020, 2025, 2030, 2035, 2040, 2045 and 2050 by gas (or group of gases) and by sector. National projections shall take into consideration any policies and measures adopted at Union level. The reported data are quality checked by the EEA and its European Topic Centre for Climate Change Mitigation and Energy (ETC/CME).
