Air Quality Health Risk Assessments (NUTS3 and countries)

This data set presents health risk calculation of exposure to three main pollutants (PM2.5, NO2 and O3) and information on PM10 concentrations at NUTS3, country and city levels. In addition, average and population weighted average concentration values are available in the data set for PM10, PM2.5, NO2 and O3 (SOMO35). The calculations are made for years 2005 to 2020. The concentrations data are taken from the ETC/ATNI interpolated maps (ETC/ATNI Eionet Reports 1/2020/ and 1/2021 and references therein). The methodology is as described in ETC/ATNI Eionet Report 10/2021, aggregating at country level.

EUA-, Nitratmessnetz

Zur Erfüllung von Berichtspflichten gegenüber der EU unterhält Deutschland neben dem Messnetz der Wasserrahmenrichtlinie u.a. das EUA-Messnetz EUA: Europäische Umweltagentur). Das EUA-Messnetz wird seit 1993 unterhalten. Es beruht auf der Verordnung (EWG) Nr. 1210/90 des Rates zur Errichtung einer Europäischen Umweltagentur und eines Europäischen Umweltinformations- und Umweltbeobachtungsnetzes vom 07.05.1990. Ziel ist es, eine zuverlässige und auf europäischer Ebene vergleichbare Datengrundlage als Grundlage für die Begründung der Notwendigkeit von Maßnahmen herzustellen. Ebenso werden die Daten für eine sachgerechte Unterrichtung der Öffentlichkeit über den Zustand der Umwelt herangezogen. Die Ergebnisse dieses Messnetzes werden jährlich an die Europäische Umweltagentur in Kopenhagen geliefert.

Burden of disease of air pollution (Countries, NUTS regions and cities), tabular data (2005 - on-going)

This dataset presents the burden of disease from air pollution due to exposure to three main pollutants (PM2.5, NO2 and O3) at country, different NUTS and city levels. The calculations are made from year 2005 and are updated every year (YY) adding the results for year YY-2. The concentrations data are taken from the ETC/HE interpolated maps (EEA geospatial data catalogue: https://sdi.eea.europa.eu/catalogue/srv/eng/catalog.search#/metadata/82700fbd-2953-467b-be0a-78a520c3a7ef). UNECE Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (Air Convention) - National gridded data of emissions by source category (GNFR), public 2025

This dataset originates from the national gridded air pollutant emission inventories reported by Eionet member countries as parties to the UNECE Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (Air Convention). Countries submit annual emissions data for multiple air pollutants, including: BC, Cd, CO, HCB, Hg, NH3, NMVOC, NOx, PAHs, Pb, PCBs, PCDD/PCDF, PM10, PM2.5 and SOx. The reported national totals are organised according to the GNFR source category classification (Gridded Nomenclature for Reporting), ensuring consistency across countries and pollutants. The final output is a spatially explicit emission dataset across multiple years (1990-2023) showing how much pollution is released: - per pollutant - per source category (GNFR) - distributed by each point in the EMEP grid

GISCO - Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics 2024 (NUTS 2024) 1:100K, Mar. 2025 - FINAL data

This metadata refer to the 'GISCO NUTS 2024' FINAL data set representing the NUTS 2024 regulation and statistical regions by means of multipart polygon topology, including polyline and point topology. The NUTS geographical information is completed by attribute tables and a set of cartographic help lines to better visualize multipart polygonal regions. The NUTS nomenclature is a hierarchical classification of statistical regions defined by Eurostat. The NUTS classification subdivides the EU economic territory into 3 statistical levels. The NUTS 2024 classification has been established through the Commission Delegated Regulation 2019/1755, which entered into force on 8th August 2019 and applies from 1st January 2021. A non official NUTS-like classification has been defined for the EFTA countries and the candidate countries. At present, six scale ranges (100K, 1M, 3M, 10M and 20M, 60M) are maintained in the GISCO geodatabase. The polygon and boundary classes delineate the regions, while the points provide an anchor for each region. Associated tables contain basic information such as the name of the region. The public data sets are available at scale 1M, 3M, 10M, 20M, 60M, from this site: https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/gisco/geodata/statistical-units/territorial-units-statistics. The full data set at scale 100K in this resource require Eionet access and is restricted for internal use only. The data set covers EU Member States, EFTA countries and the EU candidate countries.

Gemäß Artikel 24 Absatz 1 der Verordnung (EU) Nr. 1143/2014 über die Prävention und das Management der Einbringung und Ausbreitung invasiver gebietsfremder Arten wurden für den ersten nationalen Bericht die durch die Bundesländer übermittelten Verbreitungsdaten der in Deutschland nachgewiesenen Arten der "Liste invasiver gebietsfremder Arten von unionsweiter Bedeutung (Unionsliste)“ für den Berichtszeitraum 1.1.2015 bis 31.12.2018 zusammengestellt. Die Verbreitungsdaten wurden im Berichtstool zur Verordnung, dem EU-Umwelt-Netzwerk EIONET (European Environment Information and Observation Network), an die Europäische Kommission übermittelt.
