Klimaatlas NRW - Sonne: Globalstrahlung

Unter Globalstrahlung versteht man die gesamte am Erdboden ankommende Strahlung, also die Summe aus direkter Sonnenstrahlung und diffuser (also durch Lichtstreuung Infolge von Wolken oder Nebel indirekt eintreffende) Himmelsstrahlung. Die Stärke der den Boden erreichenden Strahlung ist abhängig von geographischer Breite, Tageszeit, Jahreszeit und der Geländeform, d. h. dem Winkel, unter dem die Strahlen auftreffen. Durch die unterschiedlichen Einfallswinkel der Sonne während des Jahres und der Tage ist die Globalstrahlung im Sommer stärker als im Winter und am Mittag stärker als am Morgen und am Abend. Die Flächenkarten der Globalstrahlung werden in der Einheit Kilowattstunde pro Quadratmeter (kWh/m2) zur Verfügung gestellt. Dabei handelt es sich um Karten der Mittelwerte der Monate, der Jahreszeiten und für das gesamte Jahr der Klimanormalperioden ab 1981 - 2010 und 1991 - 2020. Bei allen Daten handelt es sich um absolute Werte, die als Raster im GeoTiff-Format zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
