Body measurements of Gadus morhua during Alkor cruise AL588

This data set includes single fish cod data collected during the RV ALKOR cruise AL588 conducted in March 2023 (1st to 10th of March) in the Western Baltic Sea by the University of Hamburg. The cruise was part of the 5-year MARSYS teaching cruise program of the University of Hamburg GFP20-1_047. All single fish measurements were made directly on board. Full wet weights of cod were measured and subsequently cod were gutted and liver weights, gonad weights and sexes, gutted wet weights (i.e., gutted wet mass), gonad stages and liver nematode infestations were recorded, and Otoliths were taken.

Timeseries of physical oceanography in the Baltic Sea from 2011-2022

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruises. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL571

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a Seabird SBE 911plus CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL571. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature (SBE3plus), conductivity (SBE4) and oxygen (SBE43). Temperature, conductivity and oxygen sensors are calibrated by the manufacturer once a year before being mounted in January. They are used throughout the year and no post-cruise or in-situ calibration is applied. All other sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL415

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL415. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL553

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL553. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL437

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL437. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL556

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL556. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL457

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL457. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL507

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL507. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.

Physical oceanography during ALKOR cruise AL476

Conductivity-temperature-depth profiles were measured using a CTD during RV ALKOR cruise AL476. The CTD was equipped with duplicate sensors for temperature, conductivity and oxygen. All sensors are calibrated irregularly. Data were connected to the station book of the specific cruise as available in the DSHIP database.
