Micrometeorological Measurements and Modelling of Trace Gas Fluxes at the Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Interface (Swiss Seeland) BAT

Das Projekt "Micrometeorological Measurements and Modelling of Trace Gas Fluxes at the Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Interface (Swiss Seeland) BAT" wird vom Umweltbundesamt gefördert und von Universität Bern, Geographisches Institut durchgeführt. The emission, dispersion, chemical transformation and deposition of important trace gases is analysed in a limited agricultural area of the Swiss Seeland. Results of modelling studies with a sophisticated numerical model (BERPHOMOD) are verified by using the data of field experiments (eddy correlation measurements, tethered balloon soundings, motorglides flights). A special attention is payed to the estimation of trace gas fluxes between the atmosphere and the underlying biosphere. The project will be integrated in international programmes like EUROTRAC 2 and others.
