Das Projekt "Permanent-Magnet-Motoren" wird/wurde gefördert durch: Bundesamt für Energie. Es wird/wurde ausgeführt durch: Circle Motor AG.Mit den Magnetwerkstoffen aus Seltenerdmetallen, vor allem Neodym - Eisen - Bor lassen sich in elektrischen Maschinen starke Magnetfelder aufbauen. Ein wesentlicher Vorteil ist, dass für diesen Feldaufbau keine el. Energie zugeführt werden muss, wie beispielsweise beim Asynchronmotor oder bei der Synchronmaschine mit einem Polrad, aufgebaut als Elektromagneten. Deshalb ist bei Permanent - Magnet - Motoren eine hohe Effizienz gegeben. NdFeB Magnete, gesintert oder Kunststoff gebunden, sind preiswert erhältlich und die Entwicklung bezüglich der Stärke des Magnetfeldes, der max. Einsatztemperatur, der Formgebung und der Korrosionsfestigkeit der Oberflächen, werden laufend erweitert. Dieser Trend fördert den Einsatz des Permanent - Magnet - Motors mit seiner Eigenschaft zum Energie sparen.
